The ASUS PG27AQN is excellent for gaming. It features a high 360Hz refresh rate with native G-SYNC support to take full advantage of your NVIDIA graphics card. It also has exceptional motion handling that results in minimal blur and has low input lag for a responsive feel. Unfortunately, it isn't a good choice for dark room gaming because it has a low contrast ratio that makes blacks look gray. While it has a local dimming feature, it performs poorly and doesn't improve the contrast in dark scenes.
The Asus ROG Swift PG27AQN offers unparalleled motion clarity for a 27-inch 1440p monitor, though its contrast levels hold it back from being truly amazing.

The Asus PG27AQN is a great high refresh rate gaming monitor that is going to be of particular interest to those wanting elite speed for competitive gaming. This is one of those displays that really pushes the industry forward as we're not only getting a 1440p 360Hz combination for the first time but IPS LCD performance that's never been reached up until now. It's safe to say that the PG27AQN is an extremely fast monitor in all facets, the refresh rate is very high which pairs well with the latest GPU hardware that can push well over 300 FPS in popular multiplayer games at 1440p, leading to increased smoothness and better motion clarity, relative to previous240Hz products.
After using this monitor for the last couple weeks and especially after seeing how well it does in some of the fastest games like Modern Warfare 2 for example, it is really easy to see the appeal, especially for anyone that takes competitive games seriously. It is really fast, the motion clarity is genuinely impressive and unlike earlier 360Hz monitors, that were all full HD, you actually get a well-rounded monitor experience outside of competitive games.
Really, this is overkill for most of us, and at $1050 it's pricey, save $300 and get the 1440p 240Hz model, that's a better bet, unless Pro gaming really is your career or passion and you hace the beefy rig to back it up and you want the best of the best0
